Deb Deeb |
Deb started in this biz in the late 70's the journey got quite interesting when Deb and Carol Bartolomucci merged their businesses. They put together the most incredible staff and worked towards the finest quality and one of a kind items, and made Customer Service first priority. Carol suddenly passed away on August 2, 2001 and her staff was devastated. We were her family. In our attempt to keep her alive we created DesCar., which to us is "of Carol". Today our customers are number one, our desire to be together is without question. Our commitment to our customers is the very best possible product at the lowest price every day. At DesCar this is what we do! |

Stephanie Taranto Lupinski |
DesCar's most memorable salesperson. Affectionately named "Special Stephie" by her co-workers, Stephanie is a lifelong resident of Waltham, proud mother of two children, Samantha and Christopher, and extremely proud owner of 3 cats, Mittens, Muffin and Magic. She has been in retail sales since high school. She began working in the jewelry industry in 1981 and joined the staff of Carol the Gold Lady in February 1998 where she remained until the store closed in January 2002. Enjoying the jewelry business and her co-workers at Carol's, there was no question that she would join Deb Deeb at DesCar. Stephanie refers to DesCar as, not just her job, but a place where she loves to go each day, have fun and many, many laughs with her "second" family. Stephanie has a quick wit, incredible sense of style and fashion and many regular customers who will wait for her to take care of them. She is a salesperson you will not forget! |

Nancy & Moe Deeb |
Nancy began her career in the jewelry industry in 1979 when she purchased an established jewelry business in Hyde Park, MA. Her daughter, Debbie (now her boss) ran the business with her until 1993 when both she and Debbie joined Carol the Gold Lady in Newton. After having so much fun working with Carol and her staff, Nancy knew that she would also be on board with the transition to DesCar. Nancy's husband Moe also joined the DesCar team as our "watch battery guy". If you're "out of time", Moe is the guy to see! |

Jack "the Jeweler" |
Jack is one of the most talented jewelers in the Boston area. He is a first generation jeweler. Beginning his career in 1972, he apprenticed for a Master Jeweler for three years. His experience led him to a career working for a jeweler in downtown Boston for ten years before opening his own jewelry design/repair business in 1985. In 1995 he was hired by Carol the Gold Lady and given the name "la machine" because his fine intricate detailed work was completed in record time effortlessly. He is truly a master of design. He continues his career with his friends at DesCar. We love having Jack on our team! |

Richard Deeb |
Richard is a bench jeweler and is also Debbie's baby brother. He graduated from the North Bennett Street School in Boston for Jewelry repair and fabrication. While attending school, he worked for a master jeweler where he acquired his hands on experience. For the past 11 years, Richard worked as a master jeweler for three jewelry stores in the Leominster area. In December 2005, Richard brought web design ideas to the attention of Deb and staff and from that point on has joined the DesCar team. |

Antoinette Virgilio |
Antoinette first met Carol the Gold Lady and Deb in 1995, and back then she used to come after her work and after the store closed they'd sit and hash out some ideas for the next promotion. After Carol passed away and DesCar was born, Antoinette of course came on board. She designed the the logo, store signs, whatever DesCar needed. Antoinette really enjoys being with the "team" that she loves so well. Graduating from New England School of Art in 1971 she always worked in Graphic Design at various jobs. At home she painted murals for friends and family. In 1990 Antoinette went back to her old college and took Computer courses in Graphics. Building and maintaining her client base in a 20 yr. span, in 2002 she started her own mural business called Magical Murals. Now she paints murals, does artwork and of course Computer Graphics....she has a blast working here! |

Laserstar |
The latest technology in jewelry restoration is Laser welding. Laser welding is a process in which light energy is used to weld the noble metals to themselves, this process fuses the noble metal on a molecular level resulting in a finished product that is allone alloy. When soldering with a torch, the heat is applied to a relatively large area resulting in heat transfer. If the user is not careful, he can burn or destroy heat sensitive stones and other heatsensitive materials that are in close proximity to the flame. The jeweler is forced to either remove these gem stones and diamonds or protect these areas with a heat absorbing substance. When laser welding, the beam is so concentrated, it burns away any impurities during thewelding process, thus eliminating the need for prior cleaning, coating and post-pickling processes.Any piece of jewelry that is so precious and sentimental to you may not be restored with conventional methods. This is the reason why we at Descar Jewelry Design have invested in this new technology of laser welding. |
